Maegan Jenkins, Psy.D.Co-Owner and Therapist
I received my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Psy.D.) from Midwestern University in Downers Grove. I specialize in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety Disorders using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure with Response Prevention (ERP). I believe that collaboratively facing anxiety in an assertive manner is not only the best way to reduce it, but also the most rewarding. While I have my preferred method of treating anxiety, I also recognize that treatment modalities are not ‘one size fits all, so I am able to utilize an eclectic approach, as to meet my clients where they are individually.
Anxiety can occur in many settings, so I offer sessions in person, remotely, or even within the community to help reduce symptoms where they occur. Additionally, I have received training in assisting people who are struggling to coparent within a high conflict dynamic or those struggling with the emotional complexities associated with navigating family court. Sometimes the struggles in our lives can be a catalyst to not just endure, but to thrive. When I’m not in the office, I love spending time with my 3 children and 3 dogs. I am a big foodie and enjoy trying new restaurants with my friends. I also enjoy lifting weights, riding my Peloton, reading, and watching documentaries. |
